The Spring 2017 bridal collection is the South American designer’s US runway debut, and features 17 distinct looks that encapsulate the essence of each of her muse.
“For Spring 2017, Francesca Miranda drew inspiration from the women that have inspired her throughout her life, with each dress aptly named after the woman Francesca envisioned while designing. The collection portrays women from all era’s and walks of life; The Jackie, a 50’s inspired gown for the modern bride, the Twiggy an ethereal lace gown perfect for the boho bride, the Marilynn a sexy chic gown emanating Hollywood glamour.
This collection is truly a celebration of women in all their beauty and glory; interpreted through intricate fabrics such as organza silk, unique 3D prints and one of a kind laces, unexpected silhouettes featuring oversized peplum skirts, ruched off – set sleeves, tiered organza and tulle over skirts that add depths of volume. Detailed to perfection the gowns incorporate elegant Swarovski crystals and surprising sheer elements, all made by the talented hands of Colombian artisan women.”
