Apart from necklaces, bangles, rings and earrings, the Indians wear gorgeous headpieces called mang tika/bhor. One end of this accessory hooks to the hair, a string sits at the centre parting of the hair, the main jewel rests in the middle forehead like a decorated bindi. There’s a more elaborate type of tika, called the shringar patti which adorns the hairline.

The bracelet that comes attached to a ring is called the panja or hathphool sometimes referred to as a slave bracelet. You might also see nose rings, anklets and toe rings worn on the wedding day. Bring on the bling! These beautiful bridal jewelry sets are from Kyles Collection.
